You wouldn't think that Erin would be a world class lumberjack by looking at her but looks can be deceiving. In fact, Erin is a member of Team USA and three-time "Iron Jill" World Champion. She also has two world records in the underhand chop, two medals at the ESPN Great Outdoor Games, and a record in the Guinness Book of World Records. Erin has always been a bit on the extreme side. In college she fought forest fires on a wild land fire crew until she started working as a saw operator and loader for a logging company. That's where she started working on her lumberjack skills that would quickly propel her into a world class professional athlete, complete with a contract to be the spokes-model for Stihl, the largest outdoor power equipment manufacturer in the world. Erin has competed in over 150 sanctioned competitions and 70 professional events all over the world, including: US, Canada, Australia, China, and Germany. Aside from killing trees, Erin trains at CrossFit Predation in Spokane, WA. The expression, "Don't judge a book by it's cover," never rang truer than with Erin.
I love to hunt and fish and don't think that I will ever understand Vegans or Vegetarians. We are the top of the food chain and we were meant to eat meat. I will always recommend real, whole food over a supplement. As most of us who follow Paleo know, leaving the house makes it nearly impossible to eat right. Grains and Dairy, also recognized to me as Obesity and Disease, are everywhere. This is why I gave Progenex a try. I bring it on the road with me when I travel to competitions, and I always have a standby in my truck when I am around town. I also love having a shake within 20 minutes after my WODs. I mix a scoop each of Recovery, and More Muscle (Belgian Chocolate is delicious) along with 2 tsps of Vanilla flavored fish oil. Within a few days of drinking this shake post workout, I already felt changes in my body. It now takes me just a short period of time to shake off the incredibly awesome torture, then I feel I always want to try again for a faster time. Especially if I get beat by my boyfriend. Sometimes we will do a WOD back and forth 2 -3 times a day, both looking to beat the other. It is amazing to be able to run next to him, as he has put in 20+ years in the Navy Seal Teams.
